How To Alleviate Allergies With Homeopathy And Food Supplements

You can be allergic to many different substances. Not every allergy manifests itself with the same symptoms. You may have a tingling sensation in your mouth after eating nuts or certain types of fruit, or you may start sneezing when someone in the neighborhood has just mowed the grass. You may also get swollen eyes and a runny or clogged nose from pollen. Allergies can, of course, also cause much more serious reactions. In that case it is important to avoid the allergen.

Peppermint Essential Oils

For example, if you have a very severe peanut allergy, you should avoid peanuts at all times, otherwise you could go into shock. We are not going to talk about these kinds of allergies in this article as avoidance is the message. We are going to talk about allergies such as hay fever and lactose intolerance.

There are certain substances that can be used to relieve the symptoms of an allergy. For example, you can strengthen your immune system, use oils to clear your blocked nose and use homeopathic remedies that increase your resistance to the allergens.

Essential oils against allergies:

Peppermint oil

When you have a slight reaction to a foodstuff that itches your throat or you have an allergy that causes your nose to close, peppermint oil can be a good remedy. Peppermint oil relieves itching and can open the nose. In addition, the oil can reduce inflammation so that allergies such as hay fever can be contained. Mint oil can best be used by steaming. To do so, put a few drops of the oil in a pan or pot of boiling water. Then hang above the vapours for about ten minutes.

Eucalyptus oil

EUCALYPTUS OIL

Eucalyptus oil is a very effective and natural expectorant. These oils are therefore useful when you have problems with your respiratory system. With allergies such as hay fever and asthma, breathing can sometimes be difficult. By putting eucalyptus oil in a pan of hot water and breathing in its vapour for 5 to 10 minutes, you can lighten your airways, making it easier to get air.

Lemon oil

Lemon oil can be used in different ways. Lemon has a detoxifying and anti-inflammatory effect. In addition, it also has disinfectant properties which make it a suitable aid in case of fungi and irritations of the skin. You can put the oil in water, massage it on your body or spray it in your home.

Chamomile oil

This oil has a relaxing and anti-inflammatory effect. Therefore chamomile oil can be very effective in case of skin irritations or itching. An allergy to mosquito bites causes skin irritation and thickened mosquito bites that are very itchy. In such cases you can, for example, put a little chamomile oil on the sting.

Homeopathic remedies against allergies

Certain homeopathic medicines can reduce the symptoms of allergies and increase resistance to allergies.

Allium cepa D6

This homeopathic remedy based on fresh onions is prescribed for complaints such as a runny nose, watery eyes and tickling cough. It is therefore a good support when you suffer from hay fever.

Euphrasia

Euphrasia is a homeopathic medicine that contains the euphrasia. This is a wild flower that causes burning tears in normal circumstances. In the extremely diluted homeopathic remedy it works against watery, burning eyes and hay fever.

Cardiflor cream

Cardiflor cream is a homeopathic remedy for external application. It can soothe irritated skin, making it effective in allergic reactions that mainly manifest themselves on the skin.

Food supplements for allergies

Allergic reactions have to do with the immune system and are extra triggered when there is stress. That's why dietary supplements can come in handy. For example, you can use vitamin C supplements to boost your immune system or vitamin A to strengthen the mucous membranes. In addition, MSM can reduce hay fever and relieve shiitake allergies and asthma.

Even if you have a lactose intolerance, there are food supplements that can treat it. A lactose intolerance is caused by a shortage of lactase in the intestines. By using lactase supplements, you can compensate for this so that milk products are properly absorbed. These supplements are only suitable if your lactose intolerance has been diagnosed by a doctor. If you have no intolerance, you can create it by using the lactase supplements. Lactase supplements exist in the form of pills and sachets. The sachets work faster and are more suitable when your intolerance is more severe.

For a lighter intolerance, the pills are better because your body is then stimulated to still produce some lactase itself. Lactase supplements are mainly recommended for sporadic use. For example, if you go out to dinner and are not sure whether the food contains lactose. This is because lactase supplements ensure that your body produces less lactase itself. So if you are slightly intolerant, you can aggravate your intolerance with the supplements.
